kira | silver creek high school | senior portraits

Kira is the daughter of some friends who I met years ago when I was obsessed with playing Ultimate. I don’t really want to say how long ago but I will tell you that Kira wasn’t born yet! Yikes! I had such a great time hanging out with Kira, her mom, and younger sister who is a friend of my daughter (who came along as well!). Kira can be somewhat shy around cameras so it helped to have everyone there to make her laugh and get comfortable. We couldn’t have had a more beautiful evening to take her senior portraits and I was amazed at how much she reminded me of her mom when I first met her years ago. :) Kira is both selfless and silly and, best of all, she is kind. She’s also very musical – singing and playing multiple instruments!

I so enjoyed my time with you Kira! Best of luck in the future!

marin | lyons high school | senior portraits

Marin and I drove into the Boulder Foothills to Lost Gulch Overlook and I can’t believe I haven’t done a high school senior portrait session at this location before! Epic is the best word for it and Marin was so easy to photograph as she was incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. Marin, who is the younger sister of a previous client, is artistic and musical as well as confident, funny, and kind. An all-around awesome person!

cecily | niwot high school | senior portraits

I was privileged to take Cecily’s sister’s senior portraits four years ago and at the time, Cecily remarked how excited she was for her turn! Fast forward to this past September and Cecily, her mom, and I met up at Wonderland Lake in Boulder. Cecily is fun and silly and outgoing with a true sense of adventure. She is also laid back, much like me :), and we spent the session laughing and just enjoying the beautiful location.

Wishing you the best of luck for your senior year and all that the future holds for you!

nature + landscape photography

Before I started doing portrait photography, I spent a great deal of time taking nature and landscape images. It is something that brings me great peace of mind when I can capture an image that connects me to nature and our environment. I have many of these images on the walls of my home which I feel helps me reduce stress just looking at them. :)

Below are a sample of some of my images that are available to purchase in an online gallery if you’d like to have one of these hanging on your wall as well. I continue to add photos to the gallery so be sure to follow me on Facebook or Instagram for updates. :)
